Menu names may vary by client. Menus differ across platforms and client versions. This guide uses common labels such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” and “Import from link” to describe where to find each option. If you do not see an exact match, look for the feature rather than the precise wording. Get both the client and subscription from the user dashboard.
Create an Account and Save Your Login Details
Open the VPNSong user dashboard and go to the account creation page. Enter a username and password, then submit the form as instructed. No email address is required. You will use your username to sign in, so choose a password you do not use on other sites and save it in a trusted password manager. After submitting, check that the dashboard has opened. If you are still on the form, read the nearby instructions and correct your entries rather than submitting repeatedly.
If you already have an account, sign in with your existing details. You do not need a separate account for each device. VPNSong supports unlimited simultaneous devices, so you can use one account on supported platforms. Check account details, orders, and subscription status in the user dashboard. The public guide pages explain how to use the service but do not show your account status.
Once you are in the dashboard, take a moment to locate the account overview, plans, and client downloads. If you do not have a subscription yet, compare the billing options before choosing a plan. The “Start Free” button takes you into the account flow; it does not make the paid plans listed on this page free. The final amount is based on the plan you select and the order confirmation.
Start FreeChoose a Plan and Review Your Order
Stay signed in and open the Plans section of the dashboard. Consider how you use the service before choosing: if you regularly visit international websites, work online, or stream video, compare the monthly plans. If your usage is less predictable and you value keeping unused data, compare the data packages. The two options differ in billing and data usage rules, so do not judge suitability by the payment amount alone.
Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date, not on the first day of each calendar month. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. They remain valid until used and never expire. Compare both price and data allowance, and do not mistake a package's total data for a monthly allowance.
When you have chosen a plan, confirm the order as prompted in the dashboard. Check the plan, billing terms, and amount due, then pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. If you leave during payment, check the original order status when you return. Do not place another order just because the page has not updated yet.
After payment, return to the account overview and confirm your subscription status and available data before getting your subscription link. VPNSong offers a 30-day money-back guarantee; see the refund policy for application details. If you are unsure how much data you need, compare the full terms on the pricing page. For information on route costs, shared use, and choosing a service, read the guide to choosing a cross-border network service.
Choose a PlanGet Your Subscription and Choose an Import Method
Once your subscription is active, open the account overview in the user dashboard and look for the subscription, copy link, or client import option. The subscription link lets your client retrieve the routes linked to your account. It is not a regular website URL or an installer. Opening it in a browser does not configure the client; import it into an app that supports its format.
If the dashboard offers a direct import option, make sure the target client is installed first, then choose the matching option. Your browser may ask permission to open an external app. Check the app name before continuing. If the app does not open or is not installed, follow the platform instructions below, then return to the account overview, copy the link, and import it from within the client.
To copy the link manually, use the dashboard's copy button so you do not miss any characters. In the client, paste the full link into the subscription URL field, not the configuration name field. Use the name field for a label you can recognize, such as “VPNSong”; the URL field is where the dashboard link belongs. Save the entry and refresh or update it. Once the route list appears, you can connect.
Treat your subscription link as sensitive account information. Do not post it in public forums or include it in screenshots, shared notes, or support attachments. When contacting support, describe the error message, platform, and steps you took; do not share your password or full subscription link. If import fails, first check that the link was copied in full and that the client supports its format. For further troubleshooting, see the FAQ. Do not edit the link parameters yourself.
Open the Account OverviewSet Up the Client on Your Platform
Open Downloads in the dashboard and choose the client for your device. Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux clients are available after you sign in; you do not need to buy a plan first. You will still need an active subscription to get your subscription link and use the routes. iOS availability is determined by the dashboard; follow its instructions. This guide does not provide installers, app store links, or direct subscription links, so files and configurations for different platforms are not mixed up.
Windows: Import a Subscription and Set the System Proxy
For Windows, use the desktop client provided in the dashboard. After installing and launching it, open the configuration, subscription, or configuration management section and look for an option such as “Import from link.” Paste the subscription URL copied from the account overview, save it, and update. You can also try the matching direct import option from the dashboard while the client is running. After importing, confirm that the VPNSong configuration and route list appear.
Select the imported configuration, then open the routes or proxy page and choose a region. The connection toggle and system proxy toggle may be separate; enable the options the app instructs you to use. If another proxy tool is running, pause its proxy control first to avoid conflicting system settings. Do not change a lot of rules right away. First test browser access using the steps at the end of this guide, then check other apps.
macOS: Import a Configuration and Grant Permissions
For macOS, use the Mac desktop client provided in the dashboard. In the app, add a remote configuration from the subscription or configuration management section. If the app has a menu bar entry, you can open the same settings from there. Enter the subscription link, save it, and update the configuration. When importing from a browser, check that the prompt points to the app you just installed.
The first time you enable network features, macOS may ask you to confirm permissions. Approve only requests that match what you are doing in the client, and follow the system prompts. After connecting, check that the menu bar status matches the route selected in the app. If a webpage does not change, first check whether the system proxy is enabled, then confirm that the newly imported configuration is in use. An open app does not necessarily mean it is handling your traffic.
Android: Add a Remote Subscription and Allow the Connection
For Android, use the client provided in the dashboard. After installing and opening it, go to the configuration, subscription management, or add configuration screen and choose the option to add a remote subscription by link. Paste the full URL, save it, and update. Then return to the configuration list and enable the new entry. If the dashboard can open the client directly, you can start the import from your browser, but return to the app to confirm that the configuration was saved.
When connecting for the first time, Android may ask you to authorize a VPN connection. Confirm that the request comes from the client you are using, then allow it. Choose a route and connect. If the connection stops working after switching apps, check whether Android has restricted the client's background activity or whether another VPN app is using the connection. Settings names vary by system version, so do not rely on menu paths from another device. For complex background restrictions, see the help pages.
iOS: Use the Dashboard Entry and Confirm the Configuration
On iOS, use the client linked from the user dashboard. Availability is determined by the dashboard. Accounts with an active, unexpired plan can follow the instructions in Downloads. If you do not meet the stated requirements, read the dashboard notes rather than looking for installers from unknown sources. Once the app is ready, import the link from its subscription, configuration, or add remote configuration section. If the dashboard offers a matching direct import option, you can also use it to open the app.
After importing, check that the new entry appears in the configuration list, refresh the subscription, and select a route. If iOS prompts you to add a VPN configuration the first time you connect, verify the app source and follow the system instructions. A VPN icon in the status bar only shows the system connection status; check separately that the service you want to use works. When switching devices, sign in to the dashboard again to get your subscription. Do not transfer it using a publicly shared link.
Linux is also supported. Get the appropriate client from the same Downloads section and follow the in-app instructions to configure your subscription. On any platform, installing the app, importing the subscription, enabling the configuration, and connecting are separate steps. Complete each one before moving on to the next to make troubleshooting clearer.
Get the ClientConnect to a Route and Verify It Works
Return to the client, enable the configuration you just imported, choose a region suited to what you want to access, and connect. VPNSong covers 120+ countries / 230+ routes, but a region name alone cannot guarantee that a particular service will work. Choose a route based on the target service's regional requirements. If you are unsure, check the route type details on the servers page; there is no need to try every region on your first connection.
Once the client shows a connected status, open the website you plan to use and check that the page loads fully, you can sign in, and its features work. To check your exit IP, use Network Check and compare the results before and after connecting. Split tunneling may route only some requests, so consider the test results together with how the target app behaves. Do not draw conclusions from a single status icon.
If your browser works but a particular app does not, first check whether it follows the system proxy or needs another routing option provided by the client. The target platform may also be affected by account region, service policies, or app cache. A successful connection does not mean every feature will be available. Save the configuration that works, then look up guidance for the specific app. Avoid changing routes, modes, and system settings all at once, or it may be hard to identify the cause.
If you cannot connect at all, check these items in order: whether the subscription in the account overview is active, whether the client updated the subscription successfully, whether the correct configuration is enabled, whether system permissions were granted, and whether another proxy tool is running. When changing routes, leave other settings alone and check the target page again. Once you have narrowed down the issue, see the connection and troubleshooting FAQ. For more on route types and choosing a billing option, see How to Choose.
You're all set when: the dashboard shows an active subscription, the client displays routes and can enable a configuration, and the apps you need work as expected. To add another device to the same account later, repeat the steps to get the client, import your subscription, and verify the connection.
